I was aware of the project and I&#8217;ve experimented with <a href=\"http:\/\/kde-cygwin.sourceforge.net\/qt3-win32\/index.php\">Q..3 for Win32<\/a> in the past. What surprises me about Stainek&#8217;s project is the maturity &#8211; it seems to be useful even though the site states that &#8220;<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">kdelibs4 on Windows is not stable<\/span>&#8221; but that is not really a Windows issue as KDE 4 is in early development still.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">And now for something completely different&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>While cleaning out an only laptop of mine I found a link to <a href=\"http:\/\/local.wasp.uwa.edu.au\/%7Epbourke\/index.html\">Paul Bourke&#8217;s site<\/a>. This is one of the most useful, informative and entertaining sites I&#8217;ve ever visited. I have recommend his <a href=\"http:\/\/local.wasp.uwa.edu.au\/%7Epbourke\/fractals\/\">gallery of fractals<\/a> (with code and explanations behind each image). His <a href=\"http:\/\/local.wasp.uwa.edu.au\/%7Epbourke\/curves\/\">curves<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/local.wasp.uwa.edu.au\/%7Epbourke\/surfaces\/\">surfaces<\/a> must be a dream to any maths teacher looking for a good overview of what is available. I still remember having written my first raytracer (only rendering spheres) using his <a href=\"http:\/\/local.wasp.uwa.edu.au\/%7Epbourke\/geometry\/\">geometry<\/a> page and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Phong_reflection_model\">Phong&#8217;s model for reflections<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>>I just read the the people behind KDE interview with Jaroslaw Stainek and discovered his site kdelibs.com.
