I feel that I need to get some good reference books instead of just Googling as soon as I need to know something. Perhaps I can find the time to do some reading during the summer&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Embedded-Linux-Primer-Real-World-Development\/dp\/0131679848\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_9\/105-1826386-6386823?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&amp;qid=1181632358&#038;sr=8-9\"><span class=\"sans\">Embedded Linux Primer: A Practical Real-World Approach<\/span><\/a> by Hallinan. This one includes kernel debugging techniques as well as a good focus on memory technology devices and flash file systems.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Understanding-Linux-Kernel-Daniel-Bovet\/dp\/0596002130\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_8\/105-1826386-6386823?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&#038;qid=1181632358&amp;sr=8-8\"><span class=\"sans\">Understanding the Linux Kernel (2nd Edition)<\/span><\/a> by Bovet and Cesati. A good coverage of the different parts of the Kernel.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Linux-Device-Drivers-Jonathan-Corbet\/dp\/0596005903\/ref=pd_bbs_4\/105-1826386-6386823?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&amp;qid=1181632358&amp;sr=8-4\"><span class=\"sans\">Linux Device Drivers (3rd Edition)<\/span><\/a> by Corbet, Rubini and Kroah-Hartman. This is probably where I&#8217;ll spend 95% of my time when working with embedded Linux. The book only covers kernel 2.4, but it is still a printed reference and a good starting point.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All that is left now is to wait 5-7 days for delivery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>>I just ordered a bunch of books &#8211; I hope that they are good.
