Samsung HD735LJ

Dear lazy web, does anyone know what SMART the attribute with ID 150 for the Samsung HD735LJ indicates? My tool says:

raw value = 150
status = FAIL
value = 1
worst = 1
threshold = 99

In addition, my atapi info source in my windows logs says that the drive controller is failing...

You could try Speedfan to analyze your S.M.A.R.T. info:

Isn't it absurd to have instrumentation that can't be interpreted... the same applies to motherboard/CPU sensors :(

If the information is worth collecting, it's worth documenting - you'd think...

The issue is that the label says "unknown attribute".

Is there a GUI for SMART?
Better something staying quite in the background that when something goes wrong tell you.

i've used gsmartcontrol before. it describes each value and tells you what the implications probably are.

Each manufacturer uses the raw value differently, and it might actually change between different versions of harddrives.
