The idea is that the producers can sue the file sharers. Apparently the holder of the IP address will be held responsible - not the actual criminal. So, in short there are two BIG issues here, regardless of what you think about file sharing:

- The police is not the law enforcer any longer.
- The new enforcer does not care who did the act, they just want someone to blame.

And they're trying to do more or less a similar thing here in France...

As I understand it, the source of this madness is the EU and a directive. I.e. I can see that you get this in France - but Norway aught to be able to make their own (sensible) laws.
